Section: Settings → Sync Interfaces

Overview

The Enable Sync on Boot setting ensures the device automatically activates light synchronization as soon as it finishes starting up, without requiring manual intervention.

What It Does?

State Behavior
Checked The device starts sending and receiving light sync notifications immediately on boot, based on your current group configuration.
Unchecked Light sync is off at boot — you must manually enable it from the web interface if needed.

When to Enable It

Enable Sync on Boot for:

  • Permanent installations where devices should always be synchronized from the moment they power on.
  • Venue installations that power on automatically (e.g., via a mains timer) where manual triggering is impractical.
  • Any unattended installation where devices must self-coordinate.

Leave it unchecked if:

  • You want manual control over when sync is active (e.g., only during specific events).
  • You are testing or troubleshooting and want to start with sync disabled.

Interaction with Sync Groups

Sync on Boot activates the Send/Receive configuration set in the Sync Groups table. The device will immediately start participating in its assigned groups.
